Been in St. Louis since 1971 but come to town regularly to see not only my brothers, but my oldest boy Ben who by coincidence not only married a girl from Shaker Hghts (Sarah Levin, class of '97) but whose mother I went to school with (Joan Meltzer Levin, Class of '66.) He completed the circle by moving into a house on Fernway near the high school where he now lives the life I would have lived had I not left town. Ben and Sarah are parents of my grandson Max, age 2 and Theo born July 17!

Cannot remember how I came to "own" it, but about 50 years ago an acquaintance gave me a flag standard of the Red Raider (see page one of this web site) which he produced out of his car trunk. I think it used to hang off to the side on the auditorium stage. I have kept it all these years in good condition, meaning to drop it off to the high school some day, but mildly apprehensive that somebody would ask me where I got it. But... Son moves to Shaker Heights, his son awaits entering Shaker High class of 2029., Problem solved. Let Max deal with it. So I dropped the thing off at my son's house last month.
