Very sad. I remember his house on Lomond and his love of big, fast cars in high school.

I remember John from Junior HIgh.   He was nice to everyone, and had a great sense of humor.

Good friends with John in 6th grade at Sussex School.  Was his campaign manager when he ran for school president.  Nice and funny guy and he did love fast cars.

Sorry to learn of John's passing. Always remember the 1963 409, and his love of fast car. He will be missed.

John and I sat next to each other in the back row in Latin (ala Kitty Shirk) during senior year. His sense of humor, with sotto voce asides during class, made it all tolerable! I particularly recall the day she blew up at us because we were talking AND I had my hand on his arm.... She immediately took us into the hall to chew us both out for talking AND to further chastise me because she felt my touching John meant I was cheating on Jim Inglis, who was away at college! (Jim and I dated for 5 years and have been married for more than 46 years, so I suggest that Mrs. S. may have been overreacting to the situation in Latin class!) I was looking forward to seeing John at reunion to laugh over this; I will miss that and do miss him.

To think of being chewed out for touching his arm seems light years away compared to today. May I say quaint in some ways but certainly less complex than now. And married 46 years. God bless you both.

I used to play hockey with John with an old-timers pick-up league.    Always a friendly, nice guy.  Sorry to hear about his passing.

I first met John at church .  We both went to St. Peter's Lutheran Church down Winslow where it sort of curves close to Van Aken Blvd.  We often played with neighbors and each other.  He is definitely missed !
