Lesley - I missed the reunion - sounds like it was great. I asked the website admin about a place for people to post pictures from the reunion but I don't think it happened. You know anything about it? Were people taking pix? Thanks....Id love to see some. jonB

Hello Class of ’64. I’ve really enjoyed reading all the posts here on this site. Congrats to Reunion Committee – the website in and of itself is a great prelude to the event itself as I can’t make the reunion. I didn’t enter the Shaker School system until 10th grade – so I don’t have any Moreland, Sussex, Onaway, Lomond etc memories and it took me a while (2.8 years) to get “in the groove” at Shaker ?. I did LIVE on Lomond (across the street from Tom Osher) and I used to know all of the street names, in order, of all streets off of Lomond – although somehow I did NOT see that question the SAT. I have fond memories – mostly food - of that time and place: Geraci’s, Draeger’s, Manner’s, Golden Bowl and Guarino’s (Little Italy), Sands, Mawby’s, Solomon’s. My Mom (RIP) used to work at My Darling Daughter. Draeger’s – I do recall those little fudge glass containers – I’d get 2 and drink one….but the trip down the stairs to the basement/bathroom sticks in my mind as scary and “it can wait” ?. Teachers of memory: Bresnicki, Swaja, Shirk, Bratten, Charles Henderson, Jim Seidman, Jim Bristol. Places – CL Nichols Sports, Howard’s Menswear, Avalon Drug, Hough Bakery, Shaker Theater. Pick n Pay. Classmates: Jim Reese (bff then and now), Jon Myers, Jerry Schapiro. Retired now – basking in glow of my recently married daughter’s successes and life adventures.
Have a GREAT reunion….RIP to those who we have lost

You know that "selfie" was the "word" of 2013 - how about people posting current pix of themselves here on site. It will eliminate any "shock" (he he) at the reunion itself. C'mon do it !
You were in the Army? When? Where?
