Kathryn J. Zaite Zschokke

Kathryn J. (Zaite) Zschokke, 76, of Sheffield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. She was born September 2, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Zoltan and Irma (nee Pram) Toth.

Kathryn was an elegant woman with a smile that lit up any room she was in. Described as an unstoppable force of nature, she always put her family first. She enjoyed her work as a marketing executive for Quest Diagnostics for many years before retiring.

A friend to all, Kathryn and her dog Riley were a therapy team, visiting numerous hospitals and hospices to bring joy into difficult circumstances. She enjoyed traveling, especially in the RV with her grandchildren, and fishing, hiking and geology. She entered the Miss America Pageant circuit in 1967, finishing as runner up to Miss Indiana for the state title.

Kathryn leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 21 years Larry Zschokke; loving children Christi (Angelo) Russo, Christopher Zschokke and Leslie Zschokke; cherished grandchildren Savannah and Alexia Russo, Torii, Tanner and Arielle Zschokke. She is preceded in death by her beloved son A1C Matthew Barthalis; and parents Zoltan and Irma Toth.

Friends may call for visitation on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Busch Funeral Home 32000 Detroit Rd, Avon, OH 44011. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. I remember Kathy singing and dancing so beautifully in "Bye, Bye, Birdie."
