Robert Louis Taliaferro, III

Sorry to hear of Dale's passing.  He and I were classmates starting in 5th Grade at Ludlow.  I remember Dale as a nice guy and my symphathy to his family.   I am sure he is missed. Bob Taliaferro

Dale Wayne Sontag of Thousand Oaks, Calif., died July 3, 2016. He was 69.

Born in Cleveland on Nov. 22, 1946, to Lew and Rose Sontag, Dale was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School’s class of 1964. He attended The Ohio State University. Dale worked for Firestone and Parnelli Jones, and was then self-employed in auto sales for the remainder of his career. He enjoyed golf, classic cars, and following both the Cleveland Indians and the Los Angeles Dodgers in baseball.

 

Dale is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Barbara Sontag; daughters, Deb Floyde (Michael) of Newbury Park, Calif. and Samantha Sontag of Thousand Oaks; granddaughter, Shayna Floyde and granddog, Joey Floyde. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Howard Sontag.
