Gayle was in my homeroom class and sat in front of me. I remember her as always having a smile and a fun attitude. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed. My condolences to her family.
TURK GAYLE A. TURK (nee Smith), age 70 of Solon, passed away on July 4th. She leaves behind her loving children, Jon (Gayle B.), Jerry (Stacy) and Lauren Gliozzo (Tony); her grandchildren, Rachel and Andrew Turk and Anthony and Salvatore Gliozzo; her siblings, Janice Smith, Michele Moretto (Dino), Kevin Iarussi (Mary Ellen) and Douglas Smith (Ramona). Gayle was a step-sister, niece, cousin, and friend to many. She cherished her entire family and every minute she spent with them. Gayle worked for the City of Solon for twenty years, first at Grantwood Golf Course, then as Clerk of Court. She was a graduate of Shaker Hts. High School Class of 1964 and Ashland University 1966. Family will receive friends at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON, 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, July 8th. Private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any animal shelter, The City Mission or hospice of choice. Gayle lived for her family and was very proud of all they have accomplished.
