Ellen was a dear friend of mine in junior high school and high school.
We had many adventures ,took summer school classes together. spent hours hanging out. She was always kind, cheerul and fun to be with. I hope her children know what a great person she was.
Ellen and I both lived on Dorchester Road and were in kindergarten together at Fernway School. She was my sweetheart then at age 5. To tell the truth i had two others then as well in the same class. But no names now. Ellen had this radiant smile and curls to rival Shirley Temple. I can still see her face in a class photo with the smile and curls as if it were yesterday.
The good news on Ellen is...her two daughters are all grown up. Missy is living in a "suburb" of Chardon. She has a gorgeous horse farm with lots of wonderful horses and a terrific husband, Michael. Several Yorkies, too.
We are very close and have been since her birth.
Her sister is Kelly Webb. She has three children, the youngest is ELLEN!! Ellen is 61/2.
Kelly's oldest son TY is at Oklahoma State as a freshman.
I see Kelly and family several times a year and they are a lot of fun to hang out with!
I am "Aunt Bonnie" to all of Ellen's children and grandchildre. We talk about their mother often.
So, her legacy is a big piece of my life!
I will always miss Ellen, but am thrilled to have her offspring as my family!
Hi Bonnie, so glad to read your posts about Ellen's daughters. I have missed Ellen a lot since this website went up. Hope all is well with you, not sure yet if I am coming, but hope to see you if I do.
Ellen was one of my first real loves. She went to Byron and I went to Woodbury an unlikely connection for a 14 year old boy. She was my first date and the first girl I dated. We dated for the better part of a year. Our first date we went to the Shaker Show at Kinsman and Lee. I felt like a real big shot. We went to purchase the tickets and I forgot my wallet. Boy was I embarrased! I told her "just a minute" and went to the manager of the show and told him my situation and he let us in free! She never found out until much later. She thought I could talk my way out of any situation. I was lucky that day, not only to have a date with Ellen, and to get into the show for free after forgetting my wallett, but that night, she taught me to French Kiss!
Ellen I will never forget you and miss seeing you at all the reunions, including the one coming up.
Ellen had a wonderful, impish sense of humor. She had large dark eyes that glowed with the abundance of of her frendly basic warmth towards people.,A loving, kindly person.

My cousin, Ellen, was killed in a car crash in 1977 in Texas.
She was on her way home from the hospital where she worked.
In Texas, you can drive with open containers of alcohol in the car/truck.
The a*#hole, who was drunk, was exiting up the onramp as she was about to enter the road.
He drove his truck head-on into her car.
Ellen left two children.
