So very sorry to hear of Herk's passing.  He was a great friend with a marvelous sense of humor.  My sympathies to Kris and his children.  A huge loss.  Rick Blaine

Harry “Herk” Exline, 75, died on April 28, 2022, surrounded by his wife and 4 children. Herk was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul and Betty Exline. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kristin Hendee Exline, and his children Cathy (Jake) Czerkie, Paul (Kendall) Exline, Tyler (Kristin) Exline, and Meredith (Scott) Prince, and 8 adored grandchildren Nathan, Maggie, Lizzy, Emma, Mackenzie, Henry, Colin, and Lincoln. He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Gretchen) Exline and Mike (Joy) Exline and his sister Holly (Dave) Hitchcock. Herk attended Shaker Heights schools and Miami University. After graduation and marrying the love of his life, Herk enjoyed working on his cars, flying his Cessna 172 airplane, and spending his summers with family and friends at his family cottage in Pointe au Baril, Canada. Having survived a traumatic brain injury in an auto accident in 1974, he continued to show courage in facing life’s challenges with persistence and determination. Herk lived a life filled with so many joyful memories and experiences with his family and friends. Oh, the lessons he taught us all about seeing the positive in the negative! The family invites you to join them to share memories and celebrate the life of Herk at The Federated Church (76 Bell St., Chagrin Falls, OH) on Monday, May 9th from 5:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to consider making a donation in Herk’s name to Ruffing Montessori School (3380 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118), where all of Herk and Kris’s children attended school through the eighth grade.
