In Memory

William D Colquhoun

William (Bill) Douglas Colquhoun, 63, of Lyndhurst, Ohio died suddenly on April 13, 2010 while working in Cleveland. Bill was born in Cleveland on October 13, 1946, the son of Robert Seaman Colquhoun and Mary Ellen (Andrus) Colquhoun. He spent his early years in Conneaut, Ohio and then moved with the family to Shaker Heights where he graduated from high school in 1964. He graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in 1968 and attended Western Reserve Law School for a year before being drafted into the US Army in 1969. He served until 1972 in the United States, the Republic of Vietnam, and in Germany. Upon his discharge from the Army, he attended Miami University (Ohio) and received an MBA degree. After working in construction management in Florida, he worked in several area restaurants and then was part owner of Frisco Rose in Mayfield Heights for several years. When the restaurant closed, he began work for Brothers Printing Company of Cleveland. He found great satisfaction and enjoyment from his work for Brothers until his death. Bill is survived by his sister, Susan Jenkins, and her husband, Ray, of Englewood, Colorado and their three children, Brent, Mark, and Sarah, and by his brother, James, and his wife, Leza, of Southwest Harbor, Maine and their sons, Robert and Jed, and by five great nieces and nephews.

Bill was shy, sweet, and unassuming. Such a sadness that he has died........

I totally agree with you Carol.  Bill and I were closest of friends from the time he moved to Braemar Rd in fourth grade.  We hung out together all the time.  It was a shock to hear he died, and I feel great sadness to this day.  Thank you Bob Williams for posting the notice on Bill.
