Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Although I have lived in Denver for over 30 years I have been able to remain in contact with several classmates. These friendship support the saying, "make new friends, but keep the old as one is silver and the other gold". No friends could know me as well, accept me as I grow and change and love me more than my "gold" friends.

Comments:

Moved to Denver in 1982. Denver helped/forced me to come into my own. In 1989 I started my own business and conquered a niche market. Hard work, good timing and a bit of luck I was happy and successful. Spent over 20 years as a single entrepreneur In 2007 after dating each other for the better part of ten years with each of us divorced for about 20 years Stu and I married. Now in the process of buying a Winter escape home in Southern California. Here comes the SUN!

School Story:

The best part of being out of school is I never have to sit in a classroom again! Upon 6th grade graduation from Malvern I remember walking down the front steps thinking 6 down and 6 to go! At that point I did not know or care about college. Algebra and Geometry (math in general) were my favorite and best subjects. My 11th grade geometry teacher gave me a B+ and I ripped my report card in shreds and threw the pieces on the floor in front of him as I knew I should have been given a A grade. I stomped out of his classroom with my ride home as witness to my tantrum. When I arrived home my mother was on the phone with the Geometry teacher as he told her that I did have an A grade but he gave me the B+ because he felt I would stop trying if he had given me the A. Of course I got my A the next grading period and ended the semester with a C! Oh the trials of a classic under-achiever! I do have to say thank you to this one teacher that realized my potential and tried to help me.

Patty, I read that one of your precious kitty's went to kitty heaven. I too lost my beloved Devon Rex cat, Tia. I have been searching for a kitten and have reached out to breeders across the country. I have had one response near Philadelphia who is about to breed her "Queen". So, I think I might be flying to Philly sometime after the 1st of the year to pick up my kitten. Keep your fingers crossed. I can only have a Devon or Cornish Rex because I am asmatic and can't tolerate the dander. Rex's have curly hair. I have also had spinal surgery! Getting old is shocking and I'm not ready!
